So I was just about done with my latest custom; all that was left was the clear-coat. I did a number of light coats in quick succession, then let it dry. I took a look at it about two hours later and realized that it wasn’t as thick and glossy as I wanted it to be. I took it back outside and sprayed another thin coat, then a really thick coat.

Somewhere in there I did something wrong. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that I didn’t wait 24 hours after the initial coats to spray more, if it was the humidity, or if the last coat was just too thick. However it happened, there is now haze on all the edges, and the coating is a bit pebbly.

My question is this: is there anything I can do to rescue it? Can I carefully sand it with some super-fine grit sandpaper? Give me any ideas you have to keep me from having to strip it and start over!!

I can add pictures later, but I haven’t taken any yet and I’m at work now.
