If this isn’t the happiest little van I have ever seen, well then I don’t know what is.

This is a Matchbox Lesney Thames Estate car No. 70. The color combo is terrific if you ignore the horrible overspray on the back. This van is super tiny and really more along the lines of HO trainset scale. Matchbox wasn’t keen on scale accuracy back then. They really shot for details and realism (no complaints here).

I particularly love the front face of this van. Look at that big toothy grin! Those huge eyebrows just scream: “I’m just cruising through the day... Being a little van is the life.”

Interior is completely non existent with this cast. But, judging by the amount of windows, this was likely a people carrier and not a workhorse transporting plumbing tools.
