Welcome again to another DLM 1/64 model and on my 95th post, let’s look at a Galant.

Known more for the Lancer Evo which were featured in movies like Fast and Furious, Mitsubishi also made the Galant also known as Colt and this model is based on the 6th generation that won the Car of the Year Japan award in 1987 and the GS model became Motor Trend’s Import Car of the Year in 1989. This Galant began American sales in 1989 side by side with the previous generation Sigma.

The sixth generation was also the first to see the introduction of the VR-4 variant, which was the basis for Mitsubishi’s participation in the 1988–1992 World Rally Championships.

This Tomica TLV model fondly indicated as LV-N129a Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 RS was release in August 2016.

This is one of the models I bought in a hobby shop overseas and I like the tampo that Tomica used. It has that rally/pace car look. The model is absolutely wonderful. Features include rubber tires, realistic wheels, suspension, metal chassis and body with side mirrors.

An underrated model that deserves a second look.
