What the diorama looks like nowadays.

I heard some people have been asking about me, so I wanted to post to say that “I’m alive” and say what I’ve been up to.

I’m not sure how to explain it, so I’ll summarize and say that for the past month or so life has been overwhelming and I haven’t been in the best health. So I have been taking it easy, enjoying time with my kids, wife, and other little things I enjoy.

I haven’t done much diecast or diorama-building because the funds are being placed elsewhere. What I usually do is play a lot of music. I fiddle around and am able to play (not amazingly though, mind you) multiple instruments; bass guitar, Banjo, trombone, ukulele, mandolin, tenor guitar, etc. Playing music helps to calm me down and enjoy myself. Heck, I’ve been bringing a ukulele to work for the past few weeks!

I’ve also been playing video games, namely Skyward Sword. I don’t play it as much as I’d like since I have to balance work, being a father to two kids, taking care/fixing the house, running errands, and the list goes on. I play it when I get a chance, usually once a week or two. I can say I’m hanging in there; I’m persevering despite it feeling like I’m getting dragged along at times.

I will say this, I do have a plan for the next diorama, but the idea has been repeatedly pushed off until I can get the funds. I keep running out of space for the storage of the larger castings, so I figured I should make a highway scene to store them. The board was going to be a shelf that’s 4' wide, and I forget the depth, :p. It was going to have two lanes on each side of the highway, and I think a median for cops... I drew up the plans a month ago and it’s in my work bag. I take it out and sketch during long phone calls, lol.

So how has my fellow LaLDers been? Any new recruits? Any castings you thought I’d like that I should keep an eye out for?
