I know it’s Le Mans going on now, and while I’d like to share some LM cars here, I don’t have any! But what I’d like to share for spaghetti Sunday today is a childhood toy returning to me.

I had this identical Matchbox Specials F40 back when I was a kid. Can’t recall if it was my grandpa or my dad who bought it for me. I loved this toy to bits! Anyway, long story short...it was so playworn till the paintjob was peeled, wheels damaged and axles all bent, and if I remember correctly the spoiler having the usual dent down the middle of the wing. Young me wasn’t really a diecast toy treasurer. Then one day, I didn’t have it anymore. Not sure if mom tossed it away or not. And that was the sad end to my beloved Ferrari....

...until now. I was searching for diecast cars on a shopping/trading kind of app, and stumbled upon this old man selling off his vintage collectibles. And THIS Ferrari was one of the listed items! Being clearance items, it didn’t cost me much to buy it from him. And boy, is it good to have it back....

It has springy suspension, beefy tyres that have side markings engraved into them, and a lovely feel of heaviness to the metal chassis and body. Just like how mine was. Ah.....so good, so good........

Thanks for viewing!
