Hello everybody. The Traveling Tourchbug and I are proud to take you on a tour of my awesome hometown. This post is indeed mega, filled with a lot of info and neat visuals. From history to hot spots, come along and see this latest stint of the Traveling Torchbug’s global expedition.
Today, the Traveling Torchbug meets the DeLorean Time Machine who as it turns out, seems to be a bit of a butt. Oh TTB, why are so dang gullible.
Gather round LaLDers, OPPOnauts and Jalops. It’s time for another Traveling Torchbug special feature. The TTB, who is a motor sports fan, is back in TEXAS just in time for N. America’s greatest sports car racing event, The Lone Star LeMans at Circuit of the Americas.
Over the summer I had the honor of hosting the TTB here on sunny Martha’s Vineyard. Here are some pictures I collected. Enjoy!
Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Sure the Traveling Torchbug met many known and un-known relatives in The Hague some weeks ago. But I wanted to show him a bit about the birds and the bees, where do casts come from so to speak. So I took him to one of the few Dutch manufacturers of model cars in the Netherlands I know: Matrix Scale Models.
Alright, one more Le Mans post. As I’m still very excited about this weekend’s race. And to show this I’m putting the first and the last Porsche to compete at the Circuit de la Sarthe together. When we heard that the TTB had indeed finally landed in The Netherlands, something had to be done. Something that would be easier to achieve if carried out by a team; Opponauts Unite!
The time has come! The time has come for another TTB post.
Easter Sunday , what to do?
well it’s Good Friday, most of Melbourne is shut today ,so what to do?
day 3 , race day!
Day 2 of TTB’s adventure , he got close to a F1 car , saw the GT support race (488 Ferrari , 4 (yes 4) Lambos and a Mercedes AMG GT all crashed on the first lap.)
The TTB has arrived in Victoria again safely , so what to do?
And so it’s time to farewell the Torchbug and send him on his way. He has an important appointment down South.
As promised, the Torchbug and I went looking for (and finding) Nemo. And what better place than the Sea Life Aqaurium. If they don’t know where he is, no one does. As you can see, we went to ask the Penguins first, but they didn’t have a clue. And along the way we met some other weird creatures:
Well, it’s Friday afternoon, Beer O’Clock and we’re off with a few work mates to a couple of well earned drinks. Our destination was King Street Wharf at Darling Harbour.
The weather turned for the better today, so I took the bug for a quick tour of the town. First up, we went to “The Rocks” - the oldest part of Sydney. Named for the sandstone the convicts mined for building, this used the be a slum area, inhabited only by the poorest of the poor. It also was the place of the last…
