Went a little 356-crazy this weekend... I recently got these three from R32rennsport so they were still sitting on my work bench, and I just couldn’t help myself.
hi all. I’ve been pretty busy enjoying the warm weather and getting my 1:1s spring maintenance done. But I’ve been working on this contraption lately.
I’m finally starting in on the diorama I’ve been wanting to build for months. I just cut the plywood for the bases to fit the space where it is going. There is still a bunch of work to be done, but at least I finally started.
Finally got to try out the jeweler’s saw I got for Christmas. And it’s awesome! This is just the start of this WIP. I cut the top off using the jeweler’s saw and then smoothed things out to blend with the rest of the body using my Dremel. Also swapped on some wheels from the Magnus Walker 934 that were redone with…
A preview of my next custom: a 991 Porsche 911R! Thanks to philiphilip for the inspiration with his recent Instagram giveaway! Obviously this car is still in the early stages of work, but I’ll be sure to post updates as the work continues.
Not really diggin’ where this one is going. :( Sometimes it looks better in your head I guess.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have already seem my current project, the new 964 casting from the Track Day Series. If you aren’t following me on Instagram (@camshaft_photography - shameless self plug), why aren’t you, lol?!
This is one of the ex-Corgi castings Hotwheels released in the 1990s. Awesome cast, with the front and rear detailed out of the blister. This particular car donated its mesh wheels to a CSL.
Simple Green worked a treat for de-chroming the base. Flames are gone. Ride height is pretty much where I want it (it’s not screwed together in the pic, so it looks a little weird). Now I just need to find my paint markers for some detailing.
Extra large Caddy. Fresh silver paint pen. It had to be done.
With all those awesome dioramas being built and used lately on LaLD, I really wanted to get in on the action. So yesterday I found myself a suitable base and got to work.
Final exams were finally over... Meaning time for mods!
Using a mish-mash of Monster Jam and HW Silverado parts, I have this so far.
