While looking for decals for my 934.5, I kept coming across photos of the Porsche 935s with the same rear wing, but w/o the big rear fenders. I decided to try and make my own. It started with lining them up to see if it wouldn’t look horrible...

I decided it was worth a shot, so a surgical tray was prepared to harvest the donated organ...the initial rough cut:

Obviously, some cleaning up was in order, starting with the end plates...

And then cutting out those “vents” the 934.5 was blessed with...

The organ recipient was draped and made ready for a nose tail job. The edges were cut right up to the lines Mattel was kind enough to cast. Before and after...

Test for fit. Pretty close, so no more machine work from here on, the remaining work will be by shaky relaxed hand. The 934 will be stripped now...

To get this project off the ground, sacrifices were made.
Not everyone was happy about that...

So, John, will this one just join all the other projects that you started and then left to collect dust on the work space? hmmmm...?
