I found this on eBay while hunting for a sub-$15k Mercedes for Tavarish's post. It's a 1970's Mercedes SSLK Fulgurex 1:12 model.
The seller's description states:
"If you do not know this model, then let me explain. The body and chassis is made entirely of brass and nickel steel. The seats are leather and the steering wheel is wood. The suspension and steering are functional. The engine cover / hood is held down by leather straps with working buckles and there are hooks that actually work and lock the cover with tiny springs. The wheels are actual wire with actual nibs at the rims."
It's a very cool piece, but the $6,000 buy it now price is just a little bit over my budget. Like $5,900 over...
