Here it is, the long hunted Z3 M Coupe. I’ve been keeping an eye out for this one for over a year now but never saw any deals on eBay and always got outbid. Enter EBTH.

As I mention in my hawl post, I spotted this one in a lot being auctioned off. I didn’t really care about the other two, smaller scale models but I bet the farm on the Z3. Luckily only one other bidder challenged me, and he backed off at $38. Shipping was expensive but free thanks to a $20 promo code for signing up. Mine!

Anywho, this is the car affectionately known as the clown shoe. This one here was the ultimate version of the successful Z3. BMW built this zany shooting brake based on their popular roadster. The M version has the venerable S54 6 cylinder engine stuffed under the hood. If that engine sounds familiar, you’d be thinking of the legendary e46 M3.

With 320hp and 240lb ft of torque, this little beast jumped to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. This happens to be the facelifted version of the M Coupe. Only 1100 of the facelifted Z3 M Coupe “Clown shoes” with the S54 were ever built!

So anyway, this is my model of what I just said. Back in the day, UT Models was where it was at. We’ve had plenty of UT’s on LaLD before, from McLarens to BMW’s to Porsches and even Ferraris , so you all know how awesome they are. This little M Coupe is no exception.

Ok there are two exceptions. 1) Where are the brake calipers? This seems to have been common theme amount these old UT’s. 2) The kidneys up front as solid and not perforated. That’s it! Now let’s gawk at pics!
