From The Wand Company comes something completely different. They’re making the cars from the Fallout video game series. The first model produced is the compact, single seat, 3 wheeled Fusion Flea.

The plot of this game is a post-nuclear war America. The year is 2076 and technology advanced rapidly however society stopped progressing after the 1950s, so the music, clothing and cars all have a 40s-50s style. But the vehicles are all powered by nuclear generators.

The Fusion Flea is based on the real life Messerschmitt and features an opening canopy to reveal a surprisingly detailed interior. I say surprisingly since this car in game is usually found burnt down and without much of an interior.

The model itself is very nice. The metallic blue paint is applied evenly and not too thick, even in some of the tight crevices or rounded body panels.

The engine bay is represented as well as could be given there isn’t much of an engine to replicate based on the in game car. When the “hood” is open, the nuclear reactor glows a pretty bright blue and even comes with a removeable “fuel rod”

The chrome work is pretty nice and is definitely a feature that they could’ve skipped and used silver paint in place of.

According to the Wand Company’s site, they also plan on making the Pick R Up truck (which I’ve seen sites offering preorders), the Vault-Tec van and some station wagon.
