180/7th Day

Illustration for article titled 180/7th Day

I got home from the hospital today, only to discover it had been designated as
1:87 Day.

Cool, I wanna play too!

This is a Hongwell Beetle, which I discovered was NOT 1:87 after I took the shot.

And, after I included its like in this shot:

So, the bottom 3 rows of VWs in cases are also NOT 1:87. I believe they are 1:64 scale. As you can see, there are lots of doubles of those ones. There are even more off camera, and I’ll be offering a bunch of them up for HWEPS in the near future. (It didn’t occur to me until after taking the shot that they were larger than the others...D’oh!)
This isn’t all my 1:87 cars, not by a long shot, but I was in no condition to go climbing around looking through boxes today, All the DLM’d ones are 1:87, as are most of the rest of them. The BRAWA VW rail Inspection Car (Bus) at top center, isn’t technically 1:87 scale, but it’s powered, and runs on HO (1:87) scale train tracks.
The brands represented in this photo include, but aren’t limited to: Wiking, Maibu Int., Eko, Brekina, Praline, Herpa, Busch, and others I can’t remember right now. Not pictured are the ones with Camping Trailers (still in the pkg), multi car sets by Schuco and Cararama, among others.

Shall we begin getting geared up for One Forty Thirdsday?
