Equinox Redline in Premium 1:18

I am very excited to bring you a China order that I procured via eBay recently, a model of the Chinese market 2019 Chevrolet Equinox RS Redline. A very nearly identical match to my wife’s USDM 2019 Chevrolet Equinox LT Redline.

I’m not certain what brand this is, as it isn’t labeled, but it has impeccable quality for $80 (not including shipping).

Ours does without the RS badge and Chinese characters seen here. Also, the grille here seems to be a standard grille painted black, whereas the USDM Equinox Redline has a unique eggcrate grille in black.

The 2.0L DOHC 16V SIDI turbo RPO code “LTG” 252 hp 4-cylinder engine is faithfully recreated, as are the black bowtie emblems.

Even the grand sport stripes and blackout lettering with red shadowing are accurate. Although the wheels shown here are the 19" wheel option from 2018 given the Redline treatment, whereas the USDM Redline has unique 19" wheels, albeit with the same paint scheme.

Just like my Maisto 1:18 Colorado Z71 4x4, I’ll be modifying this to match our 1:1, and it will only need to consist of some badge correcting and the addition of USDM size and spec license plates. The new Iowa blackout plates should look as good on this as on our 1:1.

A remarkable touch for 1:18 scale. All four doors open, the hood (bonnet) and rear liftgate (boot) open, the fuel filler door opens, the steering wheel turns the wheels, the mirrors fold, and (AHH AutoArt cringe) this has WORKING SUSPENSION!

Love this pic, and love our new house, this could nearly be passable as a 1:1.

Curiously, no brand or ANY markings on the base.

Now for some 1:1 to 1:18 pics. Note that ours lacks the sunroof and luggage rails on the roof. Also note the grilles between the two.

Can’t wait to make a few slight alterations and have this even closer to our 1:1!

If anyone knows the brand this is made by, please let me know.
