But with 2 class wins at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in an 86 you tuned under your belt, Gazoo Racing certainly can get away with it.

The 86 GRMN is officially described as recreating the flavor of the 2014 class winner. So you get a minor power boost, but the emphasis is on the body, which is now stiffer and lighter, courtesy of the carbon fiber bonnet, roof and bootlid. The aero enhancements are unmistakeable too.

The cost? Only double that of a regular 86. And only 100 were ever made. Good thing for Tomica Premium, huh?

This 1/64 (well, the box insists it’s 1/60) rendition is the GRMN 86 for the rest of us. But at least you can take it around with you every day without worrying that you’ll shred its value.
