Recently ‘gave up’ on HW hunting as it had become tedious. Decided it wasn’t worth it to go to the stores and see the same old pegs filled with those fantasy castings while scalpers who have paid the staff to get the good stuff buy up all the good cars to sell at abhorrent prices online. And then there’s today.....
Turns out the LS Corvette motor from the ‘67 Firebird fit perfectly in the engine bay of the FuguZ.
Was headed to a job site that took 2 hours to get to, so leaving enough time for unknowns that didn’t happen, had time to stop at Walmart up the street and on the way.
I’ve had this puppy for a while but I never got around to posting it. I have another version that has a surfboard in the back (this one has half of a broken one molded onto the bed. I will have to put them side by side and do a photoshoot with both). The steelies are a nice touch
Hopefully, my Cars & Donuts set arrives soon. Delays are not nice :(
When you’re trying to grail hunt on a budget, a boxless model can be your key to happiness. I’ve been able to score models for as little as half of what they normally go for. Normally this isn’t a problem, but at some point, you’re going to pay the piper.
