More than meets the eye?
Found them in a bargain bin for 25 cents each and how could I not say no to them!
Here’s an interesting one. I am unfortunately not crafty enough to customize and truly admire those who do. This is Kurt Busch’s 2017 Daytona 500 Fusion Sport. The 2017 cars are the last regular production cars with metal frames, hood opening and trunk opening features. They now close the trunks and have a frame that…
On my 169th post is a 1/64 vintage hauler worth looking at.
I’ve been meaning to do some painting for a couple Hot Wheels, but the motivation to do it versus the laziness and lack of patience for stripping, detailing, and drying meant I’ll be starting project I’ll never complete. Or at least one that I can’t complete today.
I must have turned my nose up at these half a dozen times. But there I was in Safeway and they were just sitting there. And I figured, what the hell... I don’t have ANYTHING in Spectraflame in my entire collection. Well, until today.
Here is one of my new top 10 favorite TLVs in my collection. This is from the series entitled The Japanese car Era. This is the Volume 04 release. This car ran in the 1957 Mobilgas Rally round Australia. The fantastic livery is what drew me to this casting. As is expected this TLV is even better in hand. The details…
My doorstep was really good to me yesterday. Not sure i want to take these out but I probably will.
Lesney Matchbox time is here again, this installment concluding the current batch of unboxed Matchbox. Today we examine Matchbox 35a, the ERF Marshall Horsebox. This casting entered the range in 1957, remaining until 1964, and is something of a bookend to the 35a reviewed in the past:
Sup everyone? I’ve been looking at all your stories and got inspired. I dug up all my hotwheels new and old. I have a ton more 1:64. But they’re different brands. I’ll save it for later. There are even some “custom” must have been inspired with a sharpie as a 12 year old.
The current-generation R35 GT500 has opening doors, while the 720S marks the first McLaren road car Tomica makes a replica of. There’s a dual-ended truck coming for Tomica long, and an intriguing model coming to Premium--some say it might be another classic Ferrari.
On my 168th post is another 2nd generation (fully detailed and pricier than the 1st gen) Hot Wheels Car Culture with the recently acquired Mazda 787B under their Circuit Legends series.
Finished this last weekend. Finally got around to taking some potato pics.
It’s one of those rare rainy days in Southern California. Yet I still went out early to go diecast hunting and came back home with probably the most amount of cars I have ever bought in a single day. What did I get and how much did I pay?
Still working on rennsport pics... here’s one!
Here’s the puzzle: mount the exhaust (shiny grey pieces) such that I can give it thrust vectoring capability. The biggest challenge is making sure the exhaust is right in line with the plates of the tail while still being able to move them as freely as possible.
Here is a set of 2 Dodge Challengers in Mopar’s iconic B5 blue. We have the 1970 R/T (1:24) and the 2002 Mercedes E... I mean 2009 R/T (1:18).My apologies as I could not get the hood open on the 2009, It’s just a manifold cover anyway. I wont bore you too much as the photos speak for themselves. This was a birthday…
***maybe I will get around to writing something here***
Well it’s now live for people to get
This one’s an older part of my collection. This Dale Jr ‘06 Monte Carlo SS is painted to look like one of Ralph Earnhardt’s cars from way back when Nascar was in it’s early days. I believe this version of Jr’s car was a farher’s day tribute to Ralph, his grandpa. When this car was made they were much more detailed…
