Big things with little cars

A Rainy South Indian Spaghetti Saturday

Couple of months ago, another die-cast forum on Facebook announced a theme contest based on the Indian flag (to commemorate our Independence Day). While I came up with a plan for my entry very early, as is usually the case, I procrastinated on the execution pretty much until the last moment.

And as luck would have it, the sky turned dark that day. While it threatened to rain, I shot a few to warm up. But before I could finish setting up for the theme, it poured down and I had to abandon the plan. But today I realized that even thought the plan had fallen through, I had gotten off some good shots. At least I think so!

So here are two of my Maisto Lamborghinis. S

(L-R) Lamborghini Miura SV and Murciélago LP670-4 SV

Scale-wise they are slightly different. The Murciélago LP670-4 SV (right) is 1:41, while the Miura SV (left) is actually 1:37. But both have open doors and are generally nicely detailed for the $5 or so (the equivalent) that I spent on each of them.

I am sure you guys think that these pics show a general lack of imagination when it comes to angles. In fact, I am pretty sure that I did not touch the Miura after I placed it where it is.

Sorry about that! As mentioned earlier, these were salvaged from what was a rather hurried set of photographs and so it shows!
