Acetone can be your friend!

Yesterday, thanks to Sn-210, I finally did a little "clean up" on some of my cars. Most of them came out really nice. I just completely fucked up the red '70 Celica, I had. I should have known better! The decals are way too thick to get them off completely without getting holes in the paint. I will get a new one, this time maybe in green without the livery.

But hey, 5 out of six isn't too bad! The Ford Torino had "Nilodon" logos on the sides and the bootlid, and pretty much looked like a clown car to me. Just look at it now, so sleek!

You may remember that the Wiesmann had flames on it. Hot-Rod flames! On a Wiesmann! Ridiculous! Now, it's just what it always was supposed to be, a sleek Coupe. (Phillipphillip, if you are reading this, it's the way to go. The flames really drag the whole car down.)

The RX-7 had some weird rally stripes that started on the hood and went down the sides which always irritated me. Car looks so much better now.

The Skyline and 2002 were fine, but I was on a roll and did them anyway, and I'm glad that I did. Cleaner is better.

After messing up the Celica, which I still regret, I got cautious and adopted a more conservative policy. If you know what to look for, you can still see tiny specs in the door jams, but all in all, the cars look so much better now. 10/10 would will do it again! The Celica was part of a learning curve, but it's a recent car that can be easily replaced.
