So I decided to restrip the COE cab and the S-10, and re-primer them (is that a word, re-primer? If not, it is now). Why? Because the COE had two layers of paint + primer, which might mean the details wouldn’t be see as well. Same goes for the S-10. Actually, removing the paint from the COE was difficult with the many layers, so I’m glad I did it.

I painted it deep blue, the same one I used for the bed.

I then dry brushed the fender with a blue + gray + white mix. I was aiming for the used, worn look on something sitting in the sun to long and losing its color.

I always found it funny that the door, in the background, despite being fancy, just leads into another room. Nothing special. It looks like it’s supposed to go outside.

Proud of the fender results, I dry brushed the cab, focusing mainly on the top because sun discoloration.

I then felt the top was too dark still! So I added some more gray into the paint mix, and added a third shade of blue to it, :).

This isn’t the best pic, but you get the idea. I’m not done with the cab and fender yet, I feel like I can do more with it. I really want the worn look to continue because it just blends in a hot rod theme, :).

What does lald think of the custom so far? Despite not using a glossy paint, I really like the direction it's going, :D.
