Big things with little cars

When the infamous fintail posted a lot of diecasts that he scored at an estate sale a few weeks ago. One cast totally caught my eye. This beautiful AMC Rambler Marlin. I’ve had this cast on and off my eBay watch list so many times over the years. But, I could never bite the bullet on some of the prices or condition of the cast. This is, by far, my most favorite American car ever manufactured. I love the sleek fastback tarpon roof that is unlike any other. Minimalist front end that shares lines and design queues from the other Rambler models of the same era. It’s a fantastic and under-appreciated car. This Corgi replica is amazing. Nice suspension, opening doors, flip-forward seats, terrific dual-color paint, and nice rubber tires. The tow hook is a bit gargantuan. But, it’s common for Corgis to have a fun tow hook. I’m glad this one survived the years with minimal playwear and I super-grateful that fintail was willing to sell it to me for an excellent price. Enjoy the pics!
