An Update on Me

Haven’t been around much, I know. I’ve been quite busy as of late with life and projects; and most of my projects are taking a lot longer to complete. So here’s a rough update.

Firstly, an update on me. Recently I’ve taken up a few new responsibilities, I’ve been playing bass in the church worship band and I’ve been helping with the teens to possibly be the new teen representative on the church board. So I’ve been a bit occupied. On top of that, I applied for a job transfer to another work division, which was later denied at the last moment, :(.

Alright, this is what people want to hear about, my custom S-10. As you can see, it’s not done being completely painted yet. I decided to go with a similar color that it originally was, because it looked THAT good.

I’m also going to go ahead with the lift kit, but I’m waiting to buy some metal piping to act as spacers for the axle.

I should also add that because the car is one solid [gorgeous] color, I’ve decided I wanted to weather it with oil pastels. There’s suppose to be a way, so we’ll see, :). In the end, hopefully, it’ll look like it’s been off-roading.

Now this. This is me sifting dirt. Remember my diorama shelf? Well, since I thought I was transferring out, I returned everything back to the guy that lent them to me....so I only have leftovers. I kept hitting various small annoyances and frustrations with it until one day I had the idea “instead of pavement, let’s make it dirt!”, and behold, this idea was born. This time I’m actually using dirt (from my driveway) so I’m sifting out the small grains from the large ones. This is as tedious as you’d expect. But I’m saving money by not buying paints!

And this is approximately where I am now, and have been for a week or two. So....what's up lald?
