Another odd ball casting that wasn’t quite seen as a hot rod or muscle car the Custom Continental Mark III
I wasn’t around in the 60's or 70's but I have a hard time seeing a kid going crazy over this car on the pegs. It didn’t have the power pipes like a Camaro or Mustang. Didn’t have a custom looking engine it looked pretty plain. I’m guessing this was more for the adult that owned this car and wanted a lil display piece for the desk.
I’d also guess like with a previous post this was Mattel’s way of winning over Matchbox collectors with another non muscle car to say “hey we can make the every mans car too”
