Girlfriend’s job had us relocate from Norther Virginia to South Florida so it’s time for something new.
We went from a small apartment to a small house and she wanted the display to be something different than before. We decided to make one side of our living room to be dedicated to collections. Well aside from her 30+ Starbucks that line the kitchen. We ended up going with a set ofBestå cabinets from ikea. The big glass door makes it nice for displays and unlike their bookcase with the glass doors, it doesn’t have a giant gap to let in dust.
I had started out with all of the cars divided between two cabinets but then realized I had other stuff to go in so I consolidated them into one with my Fallout 3 bobbleheads on top. Next step is to figure out a lighting set up.
First row I have the Porsche and Mercedes 1:43s along with the Porsche, Japanese makes and movie\tv Hot Wheels
Middle Shelf got the rest of the road car 1:43s Euro make Hot Wheels and some BMW grill badges
Bottom shelf gets the race car 1:43s American and some left over Euro Hot Wheels (the 2000GTs moved)
Before leaving a buddy of mine gave me this one. We served together in Africa and ended up living in the same apartment complex in Arlington. He became as D.C. Metro cop so it is very fitting.
I am not a big fan of other people packing things for me so I took it upon myself to pack these before the movers showed up. Picked the right box because all of the diecasts and bobbleheads fit into one box. I haven’t decided what I will do with the carded hot wheels.
This is my first haul in the new house, also my first Redline.
