Big things with little cars

Any one else (update)

Having this issue with the fifteen52 outlaw rims on the super t2 pickup or team transport Porsche 356 Speedster?

The rim has split/cracked making the rim very lose. It’s not a factory made cut you can see how in the raised section it’s almost got a middle section that’s ready to break off.

I’m guessing the clutch tabs are too tall or the metallic plastic just can’t handle the stress like many metallic plastic toys from the 80’s and 90’s have turned to dust.

I’ve seen the same thing happen on the Porsche 356 Speedster but don’t have one to see if it has the metallic plastic outer rim.

I just hope that over the years as the plastic breaks down the rest of the rims don’t crack or completely fall apart and only the rubber tire is holding it together.

Ok looked at another wheel and it does have that lil crack to help move it but it looks like the first wheel I showed cracked more than it should have causing it to be loser.

Still metallic plastics are a bad idea for this type of application. The lil flakes cause the plastic not to bond fully and the slightest stress can fracture it like this.
