Aston Martin’s design team has been straight up killing it over the last few years. I’ve been in love with just about every new car they’ve come out with, well except for maybe that freaky looking Valkyrie thing...

This is the DB11, basically the darling of the Aston Martin line. The DB11 debuted in 2016 and was the first of the new era for Aston Martin to rocket the automaker to Ferrari’s level. I cannot wait for the model makes to release their new Vantage and DBS cars! If anyone hears any rumors, please please please let me know?

A few months ago, I happened to see a charcoal grey DB11 in the flesh and it stopped me in my tracks. I immediately jumped on eBay to see what the 1:18 offerings we’re like.

Top Speed, a resin model manufacturer, are the ones to get! They’ve launched a wide variety of colors of the model including yellow, sky blue, and my beloved charcoal grey.

After patiently playing the waiting game, this Cinnabar Orange model popped up on my saved search at a starting bid for about 40% off MSRP. I won the auction as the sole bidder, and while this orange wouldn’t be in my top three choices, the price made me jump on it. It’s grown on me now, especially after seeing how photogenic the paint was! Besides, don’t we all have enough grey Astons?

Needless to say, I’ve been very impressed with Top Speed’s model. The paint job is unbelievably rich and smooth, and the wheel detail is amazing for such an elaborate design. My only complaint is that the rubber tires developed a flat spot after being screwed down to the wooden plinth. I’ve got three more Top Speed cars on order with our friend Citizen Patrick, so I plan on having myself a very good end to this year!
