Nearly every scale model in my collection is a modern supercar. This is one of the few classic cars I have, and it’s gorgeous. In the real world, I’m a member of the Porsche Club of America, and despite going to track days with them, I rarely ever see an original 911. There’s just something so special and pure about the start of the legend.
Considering how otherwise simple this car looks, it would be pretty easy to make it look cheap in scale model form. Fortunately, AutoArt made sure every metal piece looked like real metal. I think the brightwork on the front end speaks for itself.
AutoArt really nailed it with the houndstooth seats and wood dash/wheel. It really makes an otherwise Spartan interior look so top-notch!
I love the metal grille on the rear decklid. you can see through the openings to the engine beneath.
