Toasting tires since 1987
I believe you’re all familiar with the legendary GNX, so I won’t regurgitate it’s crazy stats. This model is a 1/18 from GMP.
Released in 2003 to coincide with Buick’s centennial anniversary, GMP only made... wait for it... 2003 of these bad boys. Each car has its number stamped on the license plate and “black chrome” paint.
If this car looks familiar to you, it’s because I reviewed it before. That was before I had a fancy camera!
You can find my old review here:
I score this at a flea market a few Autumns ago for $39. The seller dropped his price from $60 to $40 without me even asking, so I couldn’t say no. I had only went with two $20's and it cost me a dollar to get in, so $39 is what he got!
I don’t know if you’d classify the GNX as a “bread box” per say, but it’s definitely the boxiest car in my collection!
The hood opens to show off a gloriously detailed engine bay, but sadly the doors and trunk are sealed.
I’ve been wanting to reshoot this one since I got my DSLR, so a special thanks to 13 and Jobjoris for the kick in the pants I needed to break this one back out of the box. Woo bread box week!
