We’ve already seen a beautiful example in 1/24. Let see this beauty again in 1/64.
Being the fastest and most advanced road car of its time with innovation from motorsport. Its the ideal car for a road race that demonstrate its speed and endurance such as the 1955 Mille Miglia.
Wearing the number of the time the 1955 Mille Miglia race in Italy began of 4:17am. The 300 SL piloted by American driver John Fitch completed the 1,597 km round trip from Brescia to Rome in 11 hours, 29 minutes and 21 seconds. Finishing fifth overall and first in its class of the production sports cars and unexpectedly beating several purpose built prototypes in the race.
Its the ultimate road car of its time that possessed the heart of a racer.
This is another one of treasure finds I acquired from my trip to Taiwan last year. The diecast was a special promotion but not by 7-11, but by UCC Coffee in Japan. During the time of the promotion, a series of Mercedes collectibles were included with the purchase of UCC’s 2 pack ice coffee. The cars don’t have any interiors but the amount of details on the outside makes me forget and forgive it completely.
