I’ve been playing with this idea for a couple weeks, and feel like it’s about as good as it will get.
I spent $1.50 at the dollar store on a picture frame. I made sure it had glass, not plastic. Sprayed a quick coat of white onto one side of it.
I stole a lid from a container in my garage, and sprayed it black. I filled the lid with water and thought I was done. Wrong. The surface tension of the water was a problem. I remedied tis with nickels. 3 (painted black) nickels.
They were painted black after examining the pics I took last night. I could see them in all pics except the Porsche one.
I might need a fourth nickel.
Another idea... Great car photos sometime use colored neon. I’m a big fan of these pics. The colors add depth. So I found a strand of multicolored Christmas lights, and put in a box. I shoved all of one color through the side, and BAM! Neon lighting on small scale.
I haven’t had a chance to use this yet, but will soon. Anyone who would like to use any of these ideas, please do. Thanks for looking. Enjoy your Thursday.
