I got this 1/24 Porsche 993 turbo on the eBay for $10 shipped. I figured it wasn’t a fantastic cast but I had to try it for that price. Smash-cut to the completely disassembled plastics on my table and me walking to the garage with the casts. I did some initial sanding to rid the casting lines then threw some primer on to give it a good onceover inside. Looks like it needs more sanding and filler.
I’m not a huge fan of the wheels but, I remembered I had some spare wheels from another model I’m working on. I tried them out and they’re close enough to the original diameter to work. I like the look but there’s one problem. They’re 4 lug wheels!
Should I give in to painting the OEM wheels gunmetal or black instead of chrome, or is it forgivable to add cool BBS weave wheels to the Porsche even though they’re 4 lugs? Will I be able to live with it?
Paint color suggestions are also welcome.
