So, what have I been doing for the last week? Trying my hand at doing some custom paint swaps on diecasts, that's what! My first finished product is a 1964 Lincoln Continental from the 2014 HW Workshop series.
Here's what it looked like before (photo from hotwheels.wikia.com)
My dad's best bud had a '63 Conty that I borrowed for my prom. This is a semi-faithful rendition of it.
The new models are undoubtedly easier to take apart than the old clunkers that I have practiced on.
Used a couple coats of primer, and a few coats of cheapo paint. Re-sprayed the interior as well - though you can't see it in these photos.
