Custom Done! ...Mostly

I just completed [for the moment] fixing up this Road Champs Chevy Step Van. Take a gander!

Now, I didn’t do too much too it. I sprayed some aerosol primer on some cardboard and dipped a brush in it, then applied that to the areas I wanted to paint over. My main objectives were two fold, paint the lights and paint the body were it was chipped.

I had to look at a lot of reference pics for this project. You can see the orange lights on the top and side.

Oddly, reference pics for the back were hard to come by. I painted the top red, but the bottom lights seemed to change per model and year. I went with my gut and painted the larger one red and the smaller one orange. Looks really good though.

Now, the headlights are a clear piece of plastic, so I’m hesitant to tackle that at the moment. Maybe later. I was mainly concerned with getting this truck back on display, :).

The side view, it looks much better with the orange IMHO.

The back of the truck.

You probably noticed the the truck still has some wear on it. I left it there on purpose. I really just repainted the places where the paint chipped off.
