Dirty Dozen: 8: Insert subtitle before you post

Hello fellow LALDiecast people, its time for another Dirty Dozen post, where I go through my childhood cars and see if anything pops out or is interesting.

So these were the cars I picked for last weeks dirty dozen. I didn't get around to it because of "reasons". These cars were originally picked out for a 4th of July special. But I quickly ran out of military vehicles. So I just gun-hoed it and filled the rest with filler cars. Hope you like it. Also, I couldn't think of an awesome subtitle...oh well.

Hot Wheels [1986] - A bro army truck, plain and simple. Since I discovered I can never guess the truck correctly, I won't even bother. So what is it this time guys? Back on task, this guy is tall, built for mudding. And I love the front of the truck, very 'tough' looking. There is also a hole in the bed, which I can only assume was meant to hold something. I don't think this truck came with anything else, but its been years so I don't know.

Hot Wheels [1990] - I love this guy. No idea of the make or model, but I dig the tan body with camo markings across it, plus the green tarp brings it all together. The large tires accent the 'tough' look of it. I want one in real life...

Hot Wheels [1983] - I actually have three of these, but I'm just showing you guys two. Not sure what tank it is, but this guy is wicked. The turret rotates around, plus the barrel moves up and down. And as you can see from the pics, the back of the tank comes down to reveal three guys standing inside.

Hot Wheels [1988] - Not really military, but I couldn't resist including it. Its like the worst spy vehicle ever. You'll see it coming from a distance away. I'm not sure if it's a real vehicle or not though. The dish rotates around. Plus I love the clear cockpit.

Hot Wheels [1974] - Alright, so this guy is special. His turret moves around, and so does his barrel. But if you add hot water......

....BAM, he'll change color! The turret looks out of place though -_-.

Hot Wheels [1991] - The Humvee! Awesome! The turret also rotates around but....

...his color change is definitely cooler than the other one. Though the idea of painting on guns to your car seems a bit....pointless...never the less cool looking!

Hot Wheels [1990] - I picked this guy out because he looked like a jeep, and jeep and Military service go hand-in-hand. Except, I don't even think this guy is a jeep, is he? Regardless, I love the tropical/whimsical/girly colors of it. I love the paint job, the pink seats and roll bar; who wouldn't want to daily drive this car?!?!

Matchbox 4x4 Jeep [s=1:59][1981] - In my research, I've discovered that Laredo (whats on the hood), is a trim package, but this looks like a Wrangler-style jeep. Anyone's thoughts? This guy is pretty sweet. I love the white top contrasting with the black body, with the red grill and seats. Very off-road worthy. And he's in fantastic condition too!

Matchbox 4x4 Jeep [s=1:59][1981] - This is the same car as above, but a different style. So I decide to have this guy in another category. The biggest difference is the roll bar in the back and the black grill. I actually prefer this one over the black one. Golden Eagle for the win!

Hot Wheels Corvette Stingray [1975] - So I officially ran out of military-related vehicles. So I choose this guy because 1. the corvette sort of embodies the American spirit, 2. it's my wife's favorite corvette. This guy is heavy, real metal was used to make him. Plus the casting looks amazing. This might not of been the best corvette, but its a looker, thats for sure.

Maisto Plymouth Prowler - I included this guy because I love how the Prowler looks. Again, bad performing car, great looker. It's retro look and tear-drop body style look amazing, and they replicate it so well here.

Hot Wheels Good Humor Truck [1983] - If anything, the ice cream is a great symbol of the 4th of July. Ice cream rocks, especially on a hot summer day. As you can see, I have two of these guys. And I found it curious that it seems that one had blue as the main color, and the other red. Anyways, there's an ice cream vendor guy in the back, wave hi!
