End of an era in my neck of the woods + Mini HAWL

My wife and I decided to get out of the house Friday since I got a surprise day off from work. She had heard from a friend that KMart in West Lebanon NH was finally closing up. This was the only location close enough for me to attend KDay (3 times!). We decided to putter north to check it out and see what kind of clearout deals we could score...

I suppose a car hits peak pegwarmer when nobody wants it with a big markdown. Hopefully someone with a GoPro collection will visit? Does such a person even exist?

I did find a lone JL Olds 442 mixed in with random crap on a shelf. I decided this would be my final KMart visit souvenir. The wheels on this car are amazing! Looking forward to snapping some pics soon.

Even the Little Caesars signage and equipment was all on sale!!! I dearly wanted to buy the lighted sign. But, it was sold as a set and the price was a bit more than I would justify for a silly purchase. So tempting!

Just outside of West Leb we experienced a glitch in the matrix. Shop in Plainfield has an xB just like ours but with the far more enjoyable manual transmission. Sadly there’s no room in the stable since we already have 4 cars and I am still trying to sell the Jeep. Though we might call them and ask if they will take the Jeep and the Nissan in a 2 for 1 trade.

After we bid farewell to KMart... we made a quick stop at WalMart for some essential supplies. The HW pegs were freshly restocked and I found some new 2020 Models that I had not seen before. The Big Air Bel-Air is pretty silly fantastic.

I’m not a Mercedes fan but I do love Hatchbacks. From the side it really looks like a Mazda though. What a strange world we live in now.

I have a mix of love and hate for this one... At quick glance this Mustang looks stellar and I am glad HW is using these particular wheels on multiple castings.

But... seriously... what kind of cost cutting measure is this? They shouldn’t even bother. The Hotwheels brand I know and love would have easily make sure the engine would properly poke out of the hood in all it’s plastic glory. They better not make a habit of this printed on engine crap. boooo.

And finally, much to my surprise I can actually check off an missing marque from my collection. KIA!!! While it’s not the Soul, it will have to do. I’ve read the Stinger is pretty badass anyways. I was not expecting this and pretty stoked to finally have a Kia in my collection.
