Time to drop the REAL boom for on this Engine Week. Sure, Scott’s Miura Jota is nice, if you think a tractor manufacturer can make a sports car. But this here is the real Italian O.G. The Ferrari 250 GTO was produced between 1962 and 1964 to compete in the FIA’s Group 3 Grand Touring Car category. And it was with the GTO that Ferrari won the World Sportscar Championship in 1962,63, and 64. One final thing to leave you with, the most expensive car ever sold is a 250 GTO.
