Big things with little cars

FIA WEC weekend at COTA

Hello everyone. ULY here just to share a couple pics from this race weekend. Kicking it off with a gift for my buddy Philip of Philipshire.

I was up at 5am Friday for work. Got home around 7pm to party at my home. It was Mexico’s Independence Day.

Around 2:30 am I started to get my Moose packed for the trip to Austin, TX. The event was mega! Super hot but worth it. There were 4 races that day. US Formula 4, Ferrari Challenge, Formula V8 3.5 and the FIA WEC 6 Hours of the Circuit of the Americas.

We arrived at 7am and brought the one single car that is ultra perfect for such a historic race full of the most advanced race cars in the world....... a 1/64 Toyota Camry.

What a rad event. Rad cars and a mega cool atmosphere despite very high humidity and track temps in the low 130°F.

Once the grid walk was open for the FIA WEC, we found the Camry’s hero. Besides the TF101 through TF108, this was THE ultimate Toyota vehicle in existence!

We got the thumbs up from Kamui Kobayashi. I also gave a LaLD sticker to the guy behind me while taking this pic..... a rad guy named Magnus Walker!

Awesome event, sad to see it leave. I hope it returns soon.

(vid looks best at true 60fps, if not, the cars look sort of slow)

After the race we swung by Austin for a while before driving back home. Went to bed at 2am Sunday after being up since 5am Friday.
