Having seen some amazing photos of diecast on this site and others, I decided to give it a go and try to take some nice photos of cars in my collection. So far the setup is amateurish but I am quite happy with the results.
The first car to trial this new setup is a Majorette Fiat 127. I picked this up at a flea market in Paris when I was there last month. It was on a table along with random things such as silverware, snow globes, etc.
I am by no means an expert in cars (real life or diecast) but I liked this Fiat the moment I saw it, only because it had a dog sticking it's head out. Plus the doors opened and it had suspensions, which are rarities in diecast cars these days.
I paid €1 for it so I was quite happy with the purchase.
Anyway, here are some photos to show off my proud purchase:
1. A little bit beaten up but still quite cool (I assume there used to be some carriage that could be attached to the tow bar in the rear)
3. Flood lights?
4. Doors come wide open - When I was a kid, I would pretend the opened doors were wings and the cars could fly!!!
5. Even with the door opened, the dog refuses to get out
