This little guy was thrust into my life at one of the last outdoor flea markets I attended as the polar vortex approached the region. I was interested in a couple of 1:64 diecast the vendor had, and he was interested in getting packed up and to someplace warmer, asap!
This is a Burago 1/21 (?) scale Fiat 500, Police version. It has a lot of finicky details, especially the very thin chrome trim everywhere, working visors, the window piece is a little short in the back window, the blue light is mounted on the sunroof, and the front bumper and trim bar are loose. The rear deck has never been opened, still has the factory seals in place. (I’m going to leave it that way for the next owner to open.)
He gave me a price for the two smaller cars I wanted, and I countered his offer, so he starts throwing more stuff in to try and get me to take more. Like the Fiat, and this Porsche:
I haven’t figured out who makes it yet, it’s 1:43 by my best guess. If you push down on it, the headlights blink and a revving engine sound comes out.
The doors open, and the wing is able to raise up, but I don’t know if the wing part is supposed to go up and down with the revving noises, or how it’s supposed to be, but I’ve been unable to find a way to get it to stay up for a photo.
The guy wound up tossing in all the rest of his diecast, like this group of DLM’d Mopars and the two carded HWs:
So, I took it all, I’m only human after all. For just a little more than I had offered for a couple of cars, I got all this; Carded HWs ‘10 Camaro SS, carded HWs ‘13 Ford Mustang GT, HWs Blingy Chrysler 300 Hemi, Johnny Lightning ‘70 Challenger 340 Six Pack, ‘07 Hallmark/Hot Wheels Roger Dodger Christmas Ornament, HWs ‘69 Dodge Coronet Super Bee, ‘08 Action Dodge Charger Elliott Sadler Nascar race car, and another ‘70 Challenger with the Hot Wheels race team livery.
Everything in this post is available for trades or paypal. I got the 2 cars I wanted, so I can offer good deals for all of this stuff.
