First time posting under the ‘Fish & Chips Friday’ banner hehe. Well, today we have two Classic Brits: a silver Lotus Esprit Turbo and the Lotus 81 F1 car. The Turbo is by Kyosho (1/64 scale) and the Lotus 81 Cosworth ‘Elio de Angelis’ is part of a set of five F1 Lotus cars by a coffee company. Quite similar to the UCC coffee Mercedes 5-pack set a while back. This Lotus F1 set is from a few years ago. I got it from a hobby shop last year for Singapore $70.00. Not cheap but for a collector of F1 cars it was a must!

I’ll post the other Lotus F1 cars another time. Meanwhile enjoy the pics of the Turbo and 81!

Similar vintage. If I’m not mistaken this Turbo is an ‘81 model too...
The 81's ride height is a bit high (coz it has a pull back motor and is essentially a toy) but detailing is not too shabby. Note the ‘engine’
...engine details can be seen clearly here. The suspension for the rear is simplified into being moulded in to the bodywork...
Classic... Thanks for the great cars you’ve bestowed upon us, Colin Chapman... 👍
