Part of my iHWEP with Jobjoris, was this lovely Porsche 911 991 Turbo by Schuco. The catch was, the tiny philips head screw holding it into the packaging was stripped. So I took it to work today, to attack it with my (OK, it’s really my shop’s) Dremel.

I first tried the old slot method. You can do this with a hacksaw, if you’re sans dremel. Just cut a new slot in the head, and use a regular screw driver to back it out.

Well, that didn’t work. So I then ground two flat sides onto the screw head, and clamped on a set of vice grips.

After I twisted that out, here she is! Pretty, ain’t it?

This is a really nice diecast! Thanks Jobjoris, I don’t mind having to work a bit for it :)
