First we have the 1950 ford coupe. I’ve always liked the shape of this car, this particular example was from a collection that Racing Champions put out in the 90's as a tribute to NASCAR liveries/drivers, I bought mostly because it was a 1950 Ford, not so much for the livery. The opening hood is a plus and the flathead V8 inside is very cool.
Our second exhibit tonight is a 1957 Ford Ranchero Pick up truck from Racing Champions as well. It seems to be a “sleeper” truck made for drag racing, I believe this came from a series of castings Racing Champions came out with that had a few 50's 60's and 70's cars made up to be amateur dragsters. You can see the truck’s latest drag time scribbled on the uper left hand corner of the windshield. The opening hood and tailgate are great features as well. It’s a neat little beast.
