Formal Introduction

Greeting to the LaLD community

This is my first post, although I've been following the site's saga from its humble beginnings in oppositelock to the early days as HWEP. Thru that period I have read, with much amusement and enjoyment, the multitude of posts from Frosted, Jeff, Enginerrrrrr and EL_LUY (to name a few, sorry if I missed some of the other senior members). Today is the day I finally decided to step forward from the background and join the site.

My display name is LtotheG and I hail from sunny Southern California. I follow the site's Facebook page so you can pretty much figure the meaning of that. I'm an aerospace engineer by trade, but avid automotive enthusiasts at heart. My mom and dad have always fueled and supported my automotive passion. Ironically I work on things that fly rather than drive. But that's a story for a different time. I have been collecting diecasts for years and have hundreds of items. I mostly collect castings from real cars or concept cars of any scale. I look forward to becoming a more active contributor and participating to this wonderful community.

Here are some 1/24 and 1/38 scale models for your time. From top left in clockwise direction: 1939 Chevy Coupe, 1974 AMC Gremlin, 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, 2010 Gumpert Apollo Sport and Lamborghini Sesto Elemento
