Welcome to Forty 3rd Christmas Village edition in which I will build my village one model at a time. I remember there was a post months ago regarding classic buses by edu-petrolhead and one of the buses got my attention.

It was the 1938 Mercedes-Benz O 10000. I found it in American-excellence website and was selling for less than $20.00. I also accumulated enough models to qualify for free shipping.

There was not a lot of info I could find about the actual bus so let’s just look at the model.

This is my largest 1/43 scale model in my collection. Not a lot of individual parts but as you can see the detail is pretty good.

You can even see the interior.

Now some of you may wonder how in the world can a bus this big cost a lot less than other smaller 1/43. For one I got this without any plexiglass display case but it does come in sort of a blister pack. Secondly it does not indicate any brand for this model so perhaps it may be one where it comes with magazine subscription in Europe? Third the only die cast is the chassis.

Still this is now proudly displayed in my Christmas village. Here are more pictures for you to enjoy.
