Part III here we go. Couple of weeks earlier philipilihp showed one of his projects, and I thought “yeah, I can do that too”, so I began to do it. It fitted perfectly to my customising ars poetica: make it factory-like! That’s why I never made any rocket bunny customs (I have to try it sometime), I prefer to restore this little castings, so I usually just remove the tampo/hideous colored paint, swap the wheels, nothing difficult. But when philipilihp posted the McLaren F1 he’s working on... Now that’s something else.
So yeah, I began to make my own McLaren F1, inspired by philipilihp. But I made some changes in the process. As I saw McLaren F1 pictures, I decided to keep the rear large wheels - the original has larger rear wheels, so it’s going to be okay. And I tried to make the front grill similar to his, but I think I failed - at least we can say they won’t going to be look-alikes :D.
I don’t know how philipilihp’s going with his project, but I detailed the interior a bit, so there’ll might be similarities.
As far as I know, his car going to be red, which is a good choise, but I wanted to avoid the ferrari-ish look (and a little spoiler: the last part of this Free Weekend series’ car got the Italian Red paint... you know why), so I choose the Mica Blue paint.
Here’s the result:
And finally, some more pics:
Hope you like it!
See you tomorrow, when the last Free Weekend Car will debut here!
