Here’s my final Free Weekend Restoration car, and it is a Ferrari (as I spoilered yesterday). Even more, this is the Most Beautiful Ferrari (in my opinion). The 250 Berlinetta Lusso.
I’ve wanted to have a 250 Berlinetta Matchbox since I saw it. Lusso is my favourite Ferrari. It’s a GT so classy, I can’t even find words to describe it. A statue. A symbol. A monolith. Those damn italians... they know how to design things, that’s sure.
This casting had everything you need to have: complete body without any break, quite good windshields, fine wheels. Nothing’s bend nor missing or broken. That was the cheapest 250 lusso that I’ve ever found, so I took it.
The only thing she (yes, it’s a goddess) really need was a proper paint job, and some details. That second thing was the hardest part for me, and I didn’t make it very well, there is a lot of things I messed up while try to detail this treasure.
This is the result:
So that’s it! That was my last weekend’s program. There are some more project, but I have to find some donors for them, so they’ll sit in my shelf for a while.
Hope you enjoyed my restorations. Cheers!
