In my youth there was only one capo di tutti anatre, one king of 2CVs, the Charleston. Stylish and you actually spotted a lot in ā€˜80's Holland. So of course I have a few of those.

And during my many rambles on French casts someone (sorry but I forgot who it was?) pinpointed me on a Hipsabrick design on the 2CV charleston. And there was no way I wasnā€™t gonna make it!

But as many bricks I seem to have I still needed more so luckily BvdV - The Dutch Engineer knew of a source to order bricks: both Legoā€™s webshop themselves as Bricklink have methods of ordering specific bricks. The latter being way more complete than Legoā€™s own site.

I think I have ā€˜m all now so itā€™s building this weekend! And that could just be next weekā€™s subject for French Friday ;-)

This one is also from the Hachette series, a very resourceful series if youā€™re into 2CVs, as I showed two weeks ago with all those Fourgonnettes.

Too bad this Charleston isnā€™t the best of the bunch from the series. The rear axle definitely wonā€™t cooperate to have it rolling decent, heck you even have to fiddle the rear wheel a bit to have it touching the ground with all four tires at the same time! So I might just go look for a better alternative. It might even be time for getting me a 1/18 2CV anyway right?

Et cā€™est Ƨa! Iā€™ll return to the brick frenzy and will keep you updated next week. Bon Week-End!
