Norev’s new “release” (color) on their 205 GTI. Well, new... I’ve had it for a while and it’s about time I showed it. You might remember the red one I showed before along with some 1/43s. Or not as it was well over a year ago.

So no comprehensive write up today, just a small compare. Although there isn’t much to compare except that color.

Or is it? Well, of course that’s the only difference but somehow this little blue one doesn’t... Roll. Correction: It rolls for about 2 cm. Makes it perfect for shooting at a descending hairpin. While darker clouds appear over QC at Norev’s?

Let’s hope not. As the details still are spot on. Not sure what color I prefer, and I do hope Norev comes with other colors. I’ve got fond memories to a certain white GTI 1.6. And in Target Gene Hackman and Matt Dillon drove a silver GTI 1.6 so that’s another color I’d approve of. For Norev’s own Entertainment series. But the best color of all, to me, still is...

Vert Fluorite of the 205 Griffe. With it’s dark grey Speedlines. And Norev did make that one in both 1/18 and 1/43 (still looking!!!) so it shouldn’t be that hard for Norev to get that color right. The wheels could be more of an issue though.

Thinking about it the red one still might be my favorite of these two as that was a more common color in my memory. I am impressed with the metallic paint Norev used, it’s a nice color and the metallic-flake is miniscule so it’s a bit more realistic than some paints other diecast manufacturers use.

Not much more to share verbally so you’ll have to be satisfied by some pictures.
