Going to try to enjoy the best of both worlds here!

Hey friends. Long time no post. Hope you are all doing well and staying safe. Looking back I can’t believe its been over a half a year since the whole Kinja almost-shutdown brouhaha. I’m, honestly, still bitter they almost pulled the plug on this place.

At the same time, LaLD took some pretty exciting steps for Global Domination and expansion. With communities growing in DriveTribe, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Shoutout to Scott for all the hard work he’s putting into managing multiple platforms.

I joined the exodus to DriveTribe and I love some of the features and visibility LaLD gets there. But, like several of you have already mentioned, the community isn’t quite the same.

Currently, it’s teeming with little kids. I feel like there’s a certain degree of injustice when a post about sharpie markers gets 25 hearts and 47 comments keeping it at the top of my LaLD feed for longer than it deserves. Why should I put time into quality posts when competing with that? At the same time... I get it. Kids are excitable and these cars are mostly aimed at them anyways. It comes with the hobby so it would be unfair to exclude them. I would be pretty bummed out if I got ban hammered for being excited at that age, so I try to keep an open mind.

That being said, (thanks for sticking with me here) I’m going to try to make time for both platforms. I do miss the community we had/have here so I want to come back and hang with you all and help rebuild the foundation that we had. Co-currently, I’m going to help build our reach on the DT side with content that I think brings attention to the LaLD brand itself.

TL:DR Miss you guys, going to try to be active here again <3 Post of a sparkly Isuzu for your time since I was experimenting with some expired spray paint.
