Hey guys I'm not dead - HAWL

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I made a post. Work has been pretty crazy and almost all my free time has been going into remodeling a room that is going to be AP’s ultimate man cave/diecast haven. I’m excited about how much it’s coming along and I apologize to a couple of you that I owe tradeback boxes for goodies over the winter. I also owe someone a restoration project that I hope to start on soon. Gotta get my cave done!

So far this summer has been diecast dry for yard sales. That changed in a big way today! Here’s my mega HAWL for today

These 5 cars were a buck for the lot at a moving sale. I mainly had my eyes on the HW Redline Beach Bomb VW Bus. It needs some help with the wheels. But, I think I have some spares. Super happy that it still has the original surf boards. The JL Double Trouble is a beast.

A random thrift store stop yielded these three gems. The Zylmex panel van is pretty neat. Rear door is intact. On the bottom it reads “Ambulance” lol... best Ambulance ever. Porsche 944's were calling my name today. This example from Yatming is pretty fantastic. The MBX Baja Bouncer is easily one of my most favorite childhood rigs. This one is so nice I could not pass it up at .75 ea.

Our main stop for the trip was Keene NH’s biggest group yard sale held at the Cheshire Fairgrounds. I was hoping to find a few sellers/buckets of cars... no such luck. But! one dude was set up with a tent and was unloading his entire collection. His prices were mucho reasonable.

I hardly run into HW HOF cars like ever. So at $3 each I snagged a bunch that really looked awesome to me. Absolutely STOKED to get Dan Gurney’s Plymouth. That’s really the only HOF car that I have been actively looking for. The rest are just plain awesome. Especially the Oldsmobile and the Cadillac.

The dude had totes and totes of Johnny Lightning cars. I fell in love with this Nova and...

Some sweet JDM goodness and a badass Pontiac GTO. All $3 ea.

Picture is rubbish, but this MBX 944 is to die for. $2.

I don’t know why Ferraris and Porsches were jumping into my hands today... I also snagged a Garage Dino. The Ricky Craven Tide Pontiac is sweet. The final year that Pontiac raced in NASCAR. Also got Robby Gordon’s Monster Energy sponsored car which goes back to when Monster would sponsor a scrappy single car low budget team... My how times have changed!

There was another vendor that had a couple bins of cars. This Zylmex Porsche 910 had to come home with me.

Overall it was a great day. Lots of other treasures to be had. I also scored a gas powered RC plane for free. haha! If I can get caught up on all my other projects maybe I can get it put together and in the air (not likely).

Hope everyone is having a great summer. I’ll try to do a Diecast Cave progress post tomorrow to show you the beginning of the room. :) Thanks for looking.
