Welcome to the sparkling world of Coke memorabilia where I will be showing some of my 1/64 casting with Coke livery. On my 203rd post is the classic 1971 Nissan Skyline GT-R and 1969 Datsun Bluebird 1600 by M2.
Finding these in the wild last December was a surprise for me as I did not expect these to be release that soon. In fact someone was already looking at them when I arrived and when the person did not pick them up I quickly grab 2 of the 3 JDMs Coke set.
Unlike some other castings, these were all gone before the end of the year.
M2 even decided to use Japanese instead of English on the Coke livery. Nice to have a variant on the coke design.
Since M2 had already release a ton of these same JDM models and even charges a lot more on the Coke livery than any of their other licensed logo, is it even worth getting these at all? I would say first of all it depends on your budget. Are you willing to shell out around $2.00 more? Also are you willing to accept M2's QC issues as these might have flaws that may be unacceptable for you. If none of that affects you and you like to collect these castings and coke memorabilia then it is a small price to pay.
